Abstract

Liver disease is a common complication among renaltransplant recipient, hepatic dysfunction is either acute or chronic liverdisease .Liver functions test abnormalities may not associated with clinicalsymptoms except in case of advanced liver disease and liver failure.Viruses which can be transmitted by renal transplantation as Hepatitis Bvirus, Hepatitis C virus and Cytomegalovirus have become one of the majorcauses of morbidity and mortality.Azathioprine and cyclosporine have a dose-dependant hepatotoxic effect. Objective: - To assess liver functions before and after renal transplantation,to determine the viruses which affect the liver and can be transmitted byrenal transplantation and how to be treated and the hepatotoxic effect ofazathioprine and cyclosporine.
