Abstract

Pulmonary hypertension in the newborn is a critical problem facingpediatric cardiologists and neonatologists.. The aim of this work is to shedlight on its etiology , patho-physiology & outcome , also to discuss the newadvances in its diagnosis and management. Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension was noted to be associated withpoor outcome as compared to secondary Pulmonary Hypertension . the role ofhigh frequency ventilation , surfactant , inhaled nitrous oxide , corporealmembrane oxygenation , milrinone , MgSo4, and oral Sildenfil in itsmanagement is assessed
