Abstract

Therapeutic success after Valricoelectomy is evaluated by improvement in the semen parameters. But due to wide variation in individual semen samples, It has been difficult to have valuable predication regarding fertility status depending only on semen analysis. The aim of the work is to study the therapeutic response of varicoceteclomy as regards sperm maturation evaluated by acridine Orange (AO) which may not be detected by routine semen analysis as acridine Orange (AO) stain of the sperms can be used to evaluate the in teyrity of the nucleus as it gires green Fluorescence with normal double stranded DNA and reel with denatured single stranded DNA, Our result showed significant improvement in sperm count and percent of motile sperms 3 months after varecacelectomy in about (66.6%) of patient which was correlated with significant inprovement in acridine orange (AO) Fluorescence.
