Abstract
Platelets are minute round discs. They are formed in the bone marrow. They are very active structures. They play an important role in hemostasis by the process of aggregation which has a major role in the mechanism of thrombus formation. -Platelets aggregation is affected by various anesthetics as inhalational anesthetics, intra-venous anesthetics, local anesthetics and also affected by different plasma substitutes.
