One of the most famous Chronic hemolytic anemia (CHA) is thalassemia syndromes, which affect thousands of people around the world (Bernard, 2000). Current management of this condition include regular blood transfusion that lead to transfusional iron overload. so estimation of the iron level is crucial in those patients (Angelucci et al., 1998).We assist the use of soluble transferrin receptors in estimation of iron status and erythropoietic activity in chronic hemolytic multi-transfused patients. We found that soluble transferrin receptors can be used in early diagnosis of iron overload in those patients.
