Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare push-out bond strength of AH plus and Sealapex sealers when used after different irrigation protocol (NaOCl, EDTA and MCJ). Material and methods: Sixty extracted human single rooted teeth were collected for this study. The crowns of the selected teeth were sectioned with standardized length of 14mm. The root canals were prepared by standardized step-back technique. The selected samples were randomly divided into three equal groups; twenty each, according to the irrigation solution used. Group I: prepared canals irrigated by 5mL 5.25% NaOCl, Group II: irrigated by 5mL 17% EDTA, Group III: irrigated by 5mL Morinda citrifoila juice (MCJ). The three groups were further subdivided into two subgroups, ten teeth of each. Subgroup A: canals obturated with gutta-percha/AH plus sealer. Subgroup B: canals obturated with gutta-percha/Sealapex sealer. After complete setting of the sealers, each sample was then embedded in epoxy resin blocks. Two horizontal sections of 2mm thickness were cut from middle and apical thirds of each root.
