The present study was conducted to enhance the electronic medical records of admitted meningitis cases at Imbaba Fever Hospital through identifying its weaknesses .Analytical study through reviewing paper and computerized medical records of admitted cases at the hospital during the period from January 2007 till the end of October 2011.Defects were found in both paper and computerized records .About one third of the admitted meningitis cases were finally diagnosed as non meningitis. Monitoring and quality check system on records needs strengthening. Protocol for management of the suspected meningitis cases is only known verbally not written.
