Abstract

All the physes of the distal humerus are vulnerable to injury, each with a distinct fracture pattern. This vulnerability of the various physes to injury is altered by age and injury mechanism. Fractures of the radial neck and head in skeletally immature patients account for only 14% to 20% of the total injuries of the proximal radius.
