Many surgical approaches have been proposed to correct post burn neck contracture including skin grafts, local, distant or free flaps. In this study, skin grafting was applied to reconstruct the neck after release of the contractures (group 1) on 10 patients with major and moderate degrees of contractures.Reconstruction by local flap on 5 patients. This patients were 3 male and 2 female with moderate degree of contracture especially on one side of the neck. Reconstruction by Z-plasty in 5 patients (4 male and one female) with minor degree of contracture. The results were skin grafting is an ideal method in case of major degrees of post burn neck contracture after release, whereas local flaps are of choice in cases having minor or moderate degrees of contracture. On the other hand, Z-plasty is the treatment of choice in case of linear contracture with a surrounding healthy skin.
