Abstract

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSMR) is defined as spinal corddysfunction secondary to extrinsic compression of the cord or its vascular supply, In this work 40 patients diagnosed. The surgical treatment was performed by one of two methods some of patient were treated by discectomy and bone graft with and without fixation (20) another group of patient were operated by central corpectomy with graft and fixation (20 patient) .1. The patients operated by discectomy and corpectomy with bone graft and fixation (20 cases), The percentage of excellent and good recovery was 85% and failure group 15%.2. In patients operated as discectomy and bone graft (with and without fixation) 20 patients, The percentage of excellent and good recovery was 85% and failure group 15%.So, in our work there is no significant difference in patients operated as multilevel discectomy and in patients operated as multilevel corpectomy.
