Abstract

In Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, The risk of endometrial cancer is increased 3-fold and ovarian cancer increase 2.5 times as likely as healthy women. Perhaps, has increase risk of cancer of the breast. Women with polycystic ovary syndrome are 7.4 times more likely to develop ischemic heart disease and myocardial infarction and hyperten-sion .The Women with polycystic ovary syndrome have a 5–10 times greater chance of being affected by type 2 diabetes mellitus .If pregnancy occurs there is increase incidence of recurrent pregnancy loss, gestational diabetes,and pre-eclampsia. So early detection of this disease is important to reduce the long term risks of polycystic ovary syndrome
