Postmenopausal bleeding requires a careful evaluation to detect the cause of bleeding as it is often the first and principal symptom of endometrial cancer.Although fractional curettage has been used as a gold standard to evaluate the endometrium, yet it is invasive and has been replaced by some accurate and the non invasive procedures as ultrasonography, Doppler velocemetric studies as well as hysteroscopic guided curettage. Three dimensional ultrasonopgraphy is an accurate method to evaluate the postmenopausal endometrium. In our study we take a cut-off value for endometrial cancer as 15.7mm for endometrial thickness, 9.5ml for endometrial volume and 0.51 for RI of uterine artery. All with a sensitivity 100% but the specificity of endometrial volume and RI of uterine artery is better than 2D u/s.
