Abstract

The sixty patients were planned by both 3D-conformal and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) techniques. All of the sixty patients were treated with 3D-conformal radiotherapy because of the unavailability of respiratory gating at our center. There was a significant reduction in the volume of the left lung receiving 20Gy (V20) and thus lung sparing in the IMRT than in 3D-conformal plan.
