Abstract

Embryos exposed to high concentrations of vitamin ''A'' would develop characteristic defects which included; central nervous system defects, craniofacial malformations, defects of heart, gut and urogenital system. The administration of glycine concomitantly with vitamin ''A'' in the present study showed significant improvement, glycine 4% being more effective than glycine 2%.
