Abstract

Wheezing in infancy is common due to age-specific anatomic andphysiologic properities rendering them suscibtble to recurrent viralinfections and recurrent wheezing in early infancy.Pulmonary function testing provides an insight to lung functin and detect anydeterioration in function due to repeated pathologic process.Pulmonary function in infancy is very difficult not only due lack of cooperationof children at trhat age but also due proplem related to posture andsedation.Body plethysmography provides an easy way to measure lungfunction at that age , but it is expensive and not avaialable in any centre. In this study we compared pulmonary function in infants with recurrentwheezing with those with single wheezing episode
