Abstract

Adhesions are quite common and can form on any surface in the abdomen and pelvic region after surgery. Adhesions and adhesion related disorders (ARD) are some of the most common complications of surgery. Laparoscopic lysis of adhesions seems to be safe in the hands of well-trained laparoscopic surgeons. This technique should be mastered by the advanced laparoscopic surgeon not only for its usefulness in pathologies but also for adhesions commonly encountered during other laparoscopic procedures.
