About 80% of pancreatic cancer patients have glucoseintolerance or frank diabetes with 2 hypotheses that pancreaticcancer causes diabetes or diabetes is a risk factor for thedevelopment of pancreatic cancer. Our research is concerned withdiabetes as a risk factor of pancreatic cancer by studying 100pancreatic cancer patients randomly selected from patients diagnosedat National Cancer Institute. Among them 76 patients were diabeticsand 24 were non diabetics. History, laboratory and radiologicalinvestigations, biopsy results and fasting blood sugar were extracted.
