Abstract

Intrauterine growth restriction plays a significant role in short and long-term outcome reflected in high incidence of brain dysfunction, neurological impairment and neurodevelopmental delay. These clinical consequences may not be apparent until later in development, therefore it is crucial to follow these fetuses and infants longitudinally. Prevention of intrauterine growth restriction is recommended as to prevent that neurological squeals.
