Abstract

The current study was conducted on sixty patients with HF & fifteen sex & age matched healthy subjects taken as a control.Echocardiography was done to classify subjects into different groups of HF & BNP was measured by electrochemilumine scence.In our study; the median level of BNP showed a statistically significant difference inbetween the three groups of HF and it was statistically significantly higher than that of the control groups (p<0.01).BNP level showed a significant correlation with different echo parameters. It showed positive significant correlation with LVED,LVES. It was inversely correlated with EF. Moreover it showed a positive significant correlation with E/A ratio.
