Abstract
Vesicoureteric reflux is defined as retrograde passage of urine from the bladder into the ureter. The significance of VUR lies in its ability to cause progressive and may be irreversible renal damage. Diagnosis of VUR using different imaging modalities such as radiological and nuclear medicine techniques is reliable. In this study we focused on comparative studies of both voiding cystourethrography monitored by fluoroscopy and, direct radionuclide cystography monitored by the gamma camera . These two methods (VCUG & DRC) are complementary rather than competitive.
