Abstract

-The introduction of excimer laser photoablation in 1983 marked a very important evolution in the history of refractive surgery.-Due its submicron precision and minimal tissue damage, excimer laser photoablation replaced most of the previous refractive surgeries.-LASIK is preferred over PRK because it is associated with less haze and regression.-This study focuses on indications, contra indications, techniques and possible complications of LASIK enhancement following previous ocular surgery.
