Abstract

This case –control study was carried out in the Neurology and Clinical neurophysiology units in Kasr El Eini hospital Faculty of medicine Cairo University.The study was performed on:1. Group 1(Patients group): They were 30 patients diagnosed as Benign Focal Epilepsy in Childhood, 17 (56.7%) of them were males and 13 (43.3%) of them were females. Age ranged from 5 to 11 years with a mean age of 8.5 + 2.8 years.2. Group 2(Control group): They were 30 healthy children, 9 (30%) of them were males and 21 (70%) of them were females. Age ranged from 8 to 12 years with a mean age of 9.2 + 3.4 years.
