Cutaneous manifestations due tohematological malignancies may be in the form of bleeding disorders, infections, non-specific manifestations, paraneoplastic syndromes andothers.Aim of work: is to determine the incidence of different cutaneousmanifestations among patients suffering from haematological malignancieswhether associated with the malignancy or related to therapy administered tothe patient.Patients and methods: 160 patients with various hematologicalmalignancies were evaluated. Results: Mucocutaneous manifestations were found in 54.37% of patientsmainly in the form of infections. Mucocutaneous side effects of radiotherapywere present in 62.5% of patients who received radiotherapy whilemucocutaneous manifestations of chemotherapy were present in 16.9% ofpatients who received chemotherapy. Conclusion: the commonest mucocutaneous manifestations of HMs wereinfections and cutaneous bleedings, skin reactions due to radiotherapy weremuch higher than those due to chemotherapy.
