Abstract

This study recommended the stoppage of clopidogrel at least 5 days before elective CABG surgery. The use of tranexamic acid and aprotinin have an important role in decreasing perioperative bleeding in patients undergoing CABG surgery and previously loaded with clopidogrel. The use of platelet prophylactically is justified in patients undergoing CABG and loaded with clopidogrel and operated on urgent basis.Due to the debate about the safety and the adverse reactions of aprotinin it is better to enhance the use of tranexamic acid with lower cost also.
