Abstract

Acquired childhood aphasia refers to disturbance of language in children after a period of normal language acquisition due to cerebral lesions. These symptoms observed in these children are similar to symptoms observed in adult aphasics. The assessment and treatment of these children is successfully adapted from batteries designed for adult aphasics and children with language learning disabilities.
