Abstract

From our study, we could assume that hypoxic insult (cyanosis) is the most common cause of cerebral palsy in Egypt.Diazepam is of greatest therapeutic effect in decreasing spasticity of cerebral palsy in comparison to tizanidine & levodopa while levodopa is of lowest therapeutic effect as regarding treatment of spasticity of CP in comparison to diazepam and tiazanidin. Liver enzymes didn’t rise after 6 weeks from taking diazepam or tizanidin or levodopa, this means that hepatic impairment, which is one of the expected side effects if present, is one of the remote side effects.
