Abstract

Nutrition of cancer patients is one of a great interest for oncological surgeon. PEG is considered as the most commonly used and widely accepted form of gastrostomy as a route of enteral feeding. A prospective trail was held on 31 patients who were indicated for PEG in NCI: success rate 90.3% complications in 21% only 3.5% was major one and mortality is the same so PEG is considered as a safe (few complications) simple (outpatient procedure) and easy procedure.
