In this study, twenty-five eases underwent flap reconstruction of upper limb defects due to post-traumatic and post-bum etiology. Flaps used were local, distant, or free tissue transfer.Evaluation of the results was done by the following, safety coverage, preservation of both form and function of the limb, donor site morbidity, cosmetic appearance complications, period of hospital stay, and satisfaction of both the patient and the surgeon.Local flaps were used in 13 cases, distant flaps in 8 cases, and free tissue transfer in 4 cases. No complications were observed in 17 cases, minor complications that did not affect the outcome of reconstruction occurred in 7 cases, and major complications occurred in a single case of re-implantation and led to failure of reconstruction.
