Abstract

The internal jagular vein is the most common site as a central venous access it is not always accessible especially in case of mechanical problems of access to the neck. Skin infection, abscess, scarring, or mass along the side of the neck, and limited neck mobility in trauma patients, So alternative access as subclavian vein, femoral vein & axillary vein were used .Ultrasound (US) guidance is now considered the gold standard technique for central venous catheter (CVC) insertion. 4.5 The use of ultrasonographic guidance during Central venous (CV) line placement has been demonstrated to significantly decrease the failure rate, complication rate, and number of attempts required for successful access.
