Abstract

Little information exists on how voiding mechanisms areaffected by aging, parity and menopause and how these factors do affect detrusor contraction strength during voiding in women. Also, the effect of urinary incontinence on voiding has not ndetermined.Objecitve : This study was done to evaluate voiding pattern infemales with stress urinary incontinence and to assess the effects of parity, aging and menopausal status on detrusor contraction strength during voiding.Methodology : 120 patients were studied, 20 continent females with free urodynamic study and 100 female patients with SUI .All patients were subjected to uroflometry and pressureflowstudy. Conclusion : Women with SUI void with weak or absentdetrusor contraction and they frequently employ abdominalstraining as the only means to empty their bladder
