Abstract
There are many indications for cardiac pacing in neonates the most important indication in this age group is the congenital complete heart block mainly due to idiopathic causes. Different types of cardiac pacing include temporary and permanent cardiac pacing with trans-cutaneous, trans-venous and trans-esophageal insertion. Some complications may occur after pacemaker insertion including infection and dislodgement or lead fracture.Follow up of the pacemaker can be made through trans-telephonic follow up.
