Abstract

The medical treatment for Menière's disease must be started first for months.There are many surgical procedures for Menière's disease varies between procedures involving preservation of hearing and vestibular functions as endolymphatic sac decompression, Or procedures involving hearing preservation but vestibular ablation as vestibular neurectomy. There are procedures involving chemical ablation of vestibular end organ. Patients with poor non-serviceable hearing may have labyrinthectomy.Intratympanic steroid injection for intractable cases of Menière's disease is gaining popular for controlling vertigo in most of patients, tinnitus and aural fullness. Nearly there is no effect on hearing, even with improvement in early cases. It is done under local anesthesia
