Abstract

Objective of the study was to test and compare the possible protective effects of PPAR-α and PPAR-γ activation and iNOS inhibition in septic shock, through the modulation of the expression of various inflammatory markers. The use of PPAR-α and PPARγ agonist and iNOS inhibitor in severe sepsis significantly offered partial protection by influencing the production of various inflammatory mediators.
