In this study, twenty-five cases underwent soft tissue reconstruction of the hand due to post traumatic & post burn aetiologies. Skin grafts, local, distant and free flaps were used.Evaluation of the results was done by the following; safe coverage, restoration of both form & function of the hand, donor site morbidity, cosmetic appearance, complications, period of hospital stay, and satisfaction for both the patient & the surgeon.Skin grafts were done in 5 cases, local flaps in 8 cases, distant flaps in 11 cases, free flap in a single case.No complications were observed in 21 cases, minor complications in the form of wound infection & partial loss of skin grafts that didn’t affect the final outcome occurred in 4 cases.
