Abstract

The neck lump are a common clinical problem because of many structures in the neck can arise from. The most common specific swellings in the neck are thyroid gland swellings and lymph nodes enlargement and to less extent salivary gland enlargement and thyroglossal cysts. Fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology was performed for all 50 patients with an overall accuracy of 82% approaching that estimated in the literature that the over accuracy of fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology is over 90%
