This retrospective study that had been done in the pediatric Hepatology Unit Cairo University Children's Hospital from 1986-2003 showed that the prevalence of cholestatic disorders was 16.5% among infants with cholestasis presented to the unit. Mean age of onset was 0.99±11.7 month, Male to female ratio was 1.95:1. Jaundice was the most frequent symptoms 93% and the most frequent sign 95.2%. it was observed that with years the number of patients who totally or partially improved increased.
