Abstract

A displaced IOL following cataract surgery is an uncommon complication it varies from minimal decentration to extremely dislocated into the vitreous.The causes could be related to one or more of the following: technique/skill of the surgeon, characteristics of the implant, and anatomical and structural defects of the eye. Treatment depends on the condition of the patient varying from conservative treatment to repositioning or explantation and exchange of the faulty IOL.
