In the last few years, interest in neuroendoscopy increased due to advances in technology of endoscopes giving the surgeon a larger, sharper image, ability to see around corners and hidden areas; this facilitates the procedure and decreases the complications which may happen. The endoscope can be used as a diagnostic tool by navigation and exploration of the ventricles. It is mainly used as a therapeutic surgical tool specially in cases of hydrocephalus, ventricular tumors, intraparynchymal cystic lesions, pituitary tumours, skull base tumors, lumbar and thoracic disc prolapse, sympathectomy and carpal tunnel release
