Renal transplantation is the preferred mode of treatment for children with end-stage renal disease. Nevertheless, transplanted children may develop different complications. The aim of this study is to identify the different complications and to assess the patient and graft outcomes in pediatric renal transplant recipients. Over a mean follow up of two years, we found that patient and graft survival were 98% and 94% respectively. The most important complications were urinary tract infections (60%) and acute rejections (30%). Graft losses were due to renal vein thrombosis, irreversible vascular rejection and sepsis leading to death.
