It has a major impact on both mother and the fetus asrapid progression of macro and micro vascular complications,spontaneous abortion, congenital anomalies, increased incidence ofcesarean section, preterm delivery, preeclampsia, neonatal jaundice,respiratory distress syndrome and perinatal mortality.
