Mast cells are known to be involved in inflammatory,hypersensitive, fibrotic disorders and its increase is associated withabnormal spermatogenesis.The aim of the present work was to study the association betweenseminal mast cells and sperm motility. Mast cells were detected in 50 cases out of 88 (56.8%). The results showed that mast cell positive cases weresignificantly higher in idiopathic and varicocele group withasthenozoospermia in comparison to the control group with normalsemen parameters.Though higher in pus cell group as well, the difference incomparison to control group was insignificant.
