Abstract

Frontal lobe epilepsy (FLE) presents some particular diagnosticproblems, both in the clinical and electrographic diagnosis of seizures. FLEmisdiagnosed as pseudoseizures, movement disorders or sleep disturbances.The main task in our study is to diagnose FLE, to study their sleeparchitecture and to differentiate them from simulating conditions. 40 patientsdiagnosed clinically as FLE exposed to history taking, VPSG and MRI. Ourresults proved disruption of sleep architecture in FLE and that VPSG is asensitive test in diagnosis of FLE and differentiation from other conditions.
