Abstract

Endoscopic procedures have important role in the management of infertile women. In infertility investigations, several studies reported that the incidence of unsuspected pathology in infertile patients found at laparoscopy is approximating 50%. Aside from its diagnostic value, laparoscopy has become an important adjunct to the surgical treatment of infertility. In addition to the benefits of endoscopic surgery in general, laparoscopic surgery is less likely than laparotomy to form adhesions.Hysteroscopic examination is properly superior to hysterosalpingography in the evaluation of endometrial cavity. Operative hysteroscopy can treat many intrauterine pathologies that can affect the fertility and has many benefits. Both laparoscopy and hysteroscopy can be done as office procedures and indicated for diagnostic and simple operative procedures saving diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in many patient and avoiding delay in the detection of the pathology.Falloposcopy is a transvaginal microendoscopic technique to explore the human fallopian tube from the uterotubal ostium to fimbrial end. The potential diagnostic value of falloposcopy in cases of tubal infertility has been reported. Additionally, therapeutic benefit has been reported also for obstructed tube recanalization
