Objective: This work aimed at assessment of post-LASIK changes in visual acuity, IOPand central pachymetry.Patients&methods:100 eyes of patients who had undergone LASIK procedure for myopia and astigmatism in a spherical equivalent range (-4.0 to -10.0D) were subjected to one year follow up focusing on changes in visual acuity, IOP and central pachymetry. Results: Following the LASIK procedure, no significant change was found in the BCVA but a significant false reduction in the IOP was reported. During the follow up period ,a slight increase in the mean central pachymetry have occurred. Conclusion: LASIK is reasonably safe, predictable & for the correction of myopia and astigmatism in the spherical equivalent range (-4 to -10D).There is a false reduction in the intraocular pressure estimation which should be kept in mind while evaluating a glaucomatous or a suspected glaucomatous patient.
