The study was conducted in Kasr Al-Ainy Teaching Hospital from May 2012 to August 2012, after approval of the ethical committee and written patients’ consent. It included a total of 60 adult healthy ASA I-II patients, aged 18-65 years with body weight between 60- 90 kilograms who were scheduled for eye trauma surgery under general anaesthesia with muscle relaxant. Furthermore, they also provide hemodynamic stability during insertion, intra-operatively and after removal with minimal post-operative complications. Although we recorded the view of the glottic aperture, our study was not a comparison of the Air Q Blocker and the LMA ProSeal as a conduit for fiberoptic intubation which is investigated in other studies.
