Sepsis is a critical problem with significant morbidity and mortality and is one of the most frequent indications of ICU admission. The current study detects the effect of addition of fludrocortisone to hydrocortisone in the management of sepsis. Out of 400 patients enrolled in the study over 12 months period, only 40 patients completed the study protocol. Patients were divided into 2 groups, one received hydrocortisone only while the other received hydrocortisone plus fludrocortisone.
