Abstract

Fetal macrosomia constitutes a considerable challenge with high incidence that faces the workers in the field of obstetrics. Sonographic examination for fetal abdominal circumference is both sensitive and specific tool for determination of fetal weight and consequently macrosomia. Doppler indices in the umbilical and the cerebroplacental ratio are not significant parameters. While Doppler indices of middle cerebral artery was found to be a significant parameters in diagnosis of fetal macrosomia.
