Abstract

This study aimed to detect the major psychosocial variables that can affect the development of various receptive and expressive language skills in a group of Egyptian children. The study included 40 children with delayed language and 40 normal children aged 2-5 years. A psychosocial questionnaire was designed to assess the psychosocial variables in the three surrounding levels of communication to the child; family level, nursery level and social level.
