Vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) has been increased nowadays as a method to decrease the rising cesarean section rate.Trial of labour can be carried out for patients with previous cesarean section depending on age of the patient, indication, number and type of previous cesarean section, occurrence of complication during healing, previous vaginal deliveries, presentation, size of the fetus during this pregnancy, presence of adequate pelvis and degree of cervical dilatation during labour.Proper antenatal care during pregnancy and evaluation of the previous cesarean section scar must be done to choose the patients that can be delivered vaginally.Trial of labour must be carried out in centers allow adequate maternal and fetal monitoring & capable of doing emergency cesarean section when needed.Maternal and fetal complication are less with trials of labour in patients with previous cesarean section compared to repeated cesarean section so, elective repeat cesarean are carried out for selected cases by the obstetricians.
