Abstract

This study aimed at registering the fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of breast lesions cases received by the pathology department in kasrelaini hospital in the last 3 years (Jan 2010 – Dec 2012). two hundred and one cases were collected , 3% of them (6 cases) had C1 insufficient smear, 59.2% (119 cases) had C2 benign smear , 15.4% (31 cases) had C3 atypical smear ,4.5% (9 cases) had C4 suspicious smear , and 17.9% (36 cases) had C5 malignant smear. Age ranged from 12 to 86 years. There was female predominance representing 99%. Mase size ranged from 0.5 to 11 cm in diameter. Statistical results were obtained.
